Animation Integration

I have created the keyframe animations in Maya at first .And then I've set up a state machine to link the idle and running animations and built the blueprint to control the character's movements. I also added the attack animation using an animation montage, and for the weapon trail, I used the Niagara system.

Advanced Locomotion System

I focused on the ALS system and explored different ways to link animation states, such as using state machines, blend poses by enums, and dynamic sequences with blend inertialization. I also worked with Animation Layer Interfaces to ensure different animation blueprints could share the same functionality or interface, making it easier to manage and reuse animation logic.

Motion Matching Research

I try to use motion matching to drive the animations. Unlike traditional state machines, Motion matching read the Root Motion from animation, calculate the Locomotion blend tree auto, then use in Animation Blueprint.
